Go live on Briefs Social

Go live and chat with the people watching, or watch someone else live. Everyone can watch and comment.

Watching a live

Open Briefs Social and tap Live on the home page. The Live page shows the most watched lives and everyone who is live right now, and you can search by heading, description or name. People who are live also appear in the Stories row on the home page. You are counted as a viewer and can comment in the chat. Swipe up or down to move to the next live.

Going live

  1. Tap Live on the home page, then Go live.
  2. Allow the camera and microphone when your phone or computer asks.
  3. Add a heading and a short description, so people can find your live in search.
  4. Tap Start live video.

Going live is for people 18 and over, based on the date of birth given when the account was created. You can end the live at any time, mute your microphone, or turn your camera off. It works on both phones and laptops.

Joining a live

Viewers can ask to join. The host accepts or declines each request, and up to 8 people can join at a time. If it is full, a spot opens when someone leaves.

Good to know

Live video works best on Wi-Fi or a strong mobile connection. Briefs Social does not record or store live video. You can report a live video from inside it. See our safety guidelines and privacy policy.
