Buy and sell locally on Briefs Social

The Briefs Social marketplace lets people in South Africa sell things they no longer need and find things they do, without leaving the app they already use to chat with friends.

Selling an item

1. Open Briefs Social and tap Buy & Sell, then Sell something.
2. Add a title, a description, the price, a category, the condition (new, like new or used) and your location.
3. Add up to 6 photos.
4. Buyers message you. When it is sold, mark it as sold or remove the listing.

Buying an item

Browse the listings or search for what you need, look through the photos and details, save listings you like, and message the seller to ask questions or arrange to meet. Payment and collection are agreed directly between the buyer and the seller.

Staying safe

• Meet in a busy public place, and bring a friend if you can.
• Check the item before you pay, and be careful of anyone asking you to pay in advance.
• Report any listing that looks like a scam or sells something illegal, stolen, counterfeit or dangerous.
